CINCINNATI - We are disappointed that four of the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcars are currently out of service due to manufacturing defects.
We have expressed our concerns to the manufacturer, CAF, and they have told us that they are working to rectify the problems here and in other cities where their streetcars have had similar faults.
Here are the details by streetcar:
#1175: failing compressor/no heat in operator cab
#1176: failed compressor
#1177: failed motor truck axle bearing (repaired; waiting for final inspection)
#1178: no heat in operator cab
We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and will be transparent as we learn more about the schedule for repairs and restoration of service.
