CINCINNATI – Within just six months of the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar’s opening, businesses along the route are already seeing an uptick in sales and many more people are exploring amenities along the route connecting The Banks, Downtown and Over-The-Rhine—and they’re excited to talk about it!
They’re doing just that in a series of testimonial videos highlighting how riders use the streetcar for business, lunch, family outings and more. Local business Fresh Table has already seen such an increase in traffic that they’ve decided to expand.
“We have seen at least a 30 percent increase on our lunchtime trade here at the market,” says Meredith, co-owner and chef at Fresh Table at Findlay Market. “We have decided to open another business … an urban grocery store with a market in the back.”
In this short video, Meredith explains how the Cincinnati Bell Connector makes it easy for her to make catering deliveries.
Others are enjoying the streetcar to move around downtown and explore its many entertainment options and historic features. Marquise, a dance major at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), rides the Cincinnati Bell Connector when she’s going out with friends.
“I love how smooth the Connector rides and all the views you can see of downtown Cincinnati,” she says. “Ride the Connector to see what Cincinnati has to offer,” she advises out-of-towners in a video. “The connector hits a lot of key points of downtown.”
Megan, a downtown resident, loves using the streetcar every day with her family. “Something I’m looking forward to is going to the Reds games…and being able to quickly be down here without being stuck in traffic. That’s always a plus!” Watch Megan talk about how she uses the streetcar in this video.
