IT’S JUST A TEST: CINCINNATI BELL CONNECTOR STREETCAR TO CONDUCT EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE ON JUNE 15
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), Transdev, City of Cincinnati and first responders will conduct a full-scale emergency streetcar exercise on Friday, June 15 beginning at 1 a.m. and lasting until approximately 2 a.m.
The exercise will take place along the streetcar route on Henry Street, which will remain closed for the exercise. The training scenario will be a service-related emergency that will involve local first responders and other emergency personnel.
The public should be aware that this is only an exercise; do not to be alarmed by emergency responders, sirens and other activities around the location of the exercise.
This exercise, along with various tabletop-style safety and security exercises performed throughout the year, are a part of ongoing efforts to practice and improve the procedures for responding to real-life emergency scenarios.
