STREETCAR TO COLLECT BOOKS FOR INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY ON SEPT. 9

Book drive will take place alongside streetcar's second birthday festivities
The Cincinnati Bell Connector is inviting the community to donate books in support of International Literacy Day on Sept. 9, from noon to 5 p.m. Donation bins will be available at the Cincinnati Public Library Station #16, located at 9th and Walnut St.

This collection event benefits Crayons to Computers, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit committed to ensuring that every child in Greater Cincinnati has the materials necessary to succeed in school. Donations will be used to help Crayons to Computers bridge the gap for families and schools that may not be financially able to provide school supplies to students.

Sept. 9 also marks the second birthday of the Cincinnati Bell Connector. Activities will be taking place along the streetcar route all afternoon in celebration of the milestone. For more information about birthday events, go to the streetcar's website.
